Suppliers: Create a New Fam Trip
In this guide we will walk you through the straightforward process of creating a new fam trip.
1. Signing In
- Navigate to web.famguru.app.
- Sign into your FamGuru account. Upon successful login, you'll land on the homepage.
2. Initiating a New Trip
- Locate and click the "Create New Trip" button.
3. Setting the Hero Image
- Before anything else, you'll be prompted to set a hero image for your trip. This is the primary image people will see associated with your trip.
- Choose from our collection of stock images.
- Alternatively, upload a personal image. For instance, Carrie selected an image titled "Nice at Night" from her Google Drive under the "France Trip" folder.
4. Naming and Dating Your Trip
- Give your trip a descriptive name, e.g., "FAM Trip to Paris and Nice."
- Choose the trip's start and end dates. For our example, we're looking at October 18th to the 23rd.
5. Trip Type
- Decide the type of trip:
- Self-Directed Trip (typically for advisors)
- Hosted Trip (typically for suppliers)
- For trips hosted by suppliers (like our example), ensure you tick the "Hosted" box. This option enables you to send out trip invitations.
6. Invitation Text
Draft an inviting message to potential attendees. For example:
"Please join us on our upcoming FAM. Click 'accept' to create a FamGuru account, set up your profile, and join us on this trip."
7. Trip Description
Craft a brief description capturing the essence of your trip. A potential description might be:
"Five beautiful days exploring Paris and Nice, with visits to a variety of hotels."
8. Finalize Your Trip
- Once all details are filled in, click to "Create" the trip.
- Your trip is now set! You should now see the hero image, trip description, and other details on your dashboard.
9. Editing Your Trip
- Need to make changes? No worries. Simply click on the "Edit Trip" option to revisit and adjust any trip details.
